Top things to do in Glasgow with kids

Looking for things to do in Glasgow with kids whilst enjoying some time away in one of our apartments? Our vibrant city was voted ‘World’s friendliest city’, making it a wonderful place to explore with your young ones. We’ve pulled together some of our favourite Glasgow attractions and family days out, guaranteed to make sure your entire brood get the most out of their visit.

1. Glasgow Spy Mission Treasure Trail

Looking for something a little different? How about a self-guided treasure trail spy mission? The trail takes you on a route around Glasgow, allowing you to explore the city in your own time, solving clues and discovering hidden gems. Trails are suitable for ages 6+ and can be sent to you in the post or downloaded for instant trialling fun!

2. Glasgow Botanic Gardens

Glasgow Botanic Gardens are the perfect place to take a step back from the hustle and bustle of the busy city. Their Children’s Garden is a great place for a day out with the kids, allowing them to get their hands dirty, pick vegetables and plant seeds. The gardens hope to encourage interest in the growing, cooking and eating of healthy food. If that’s not enough to hold their attention, there’s also a big outdoor adventure playground.

3. Glasgow Science Centre

Set over three floors, the Science Centre is an interactive wonderland split into different learning categories, including a Creative zone, Planetarium and Big Explorer zone. They host regular ‘Little Explorer‘ days, allowing younger children to take part in workshops and take home their days project.

4. Kelvingrove Art Gallery And Museum

Repeatedly hailed as one of the best things to do in Glasgow, this museum is the perfect place to entertain the kids on a rainy day. Scotland’s most-visited museum is packed full of dinosaur fossils, Egyptian mummies and houses a pre-5’s Mini Museum. Each room is laid out to tell a story and features activity trails for families to follow.

5. Flip out Glasgow

One of the most fun things to do in Glasgow has got to be the world’s largest trampoline park! That title alone will likely pique the kids’ interests, right?
Open 7 days a week, Flip Out has a ton of trampoline-based activities to suit all ages; a multi-level soft play area, Scotland’s first Ninja Warrior course, a parkour space and an under-seven’s area. It is possible to just show up, but to ensure you get a slot, we recommend you book in advance.

Don’t forget, our apartments are the perfect place for families to relax after busy days out – all fitted with the latest music technology Sonos speaker system, plus Freeview TV.
